Juhi upset with Shah Rukh?
There are whispers about Juhi Chawla being cut up with best friend Shah Rukh for not retaining her as his leading lady in both his forthcoming productions. Kareena Kapoor is starring in one and Aishwarya in the other. But we don't believe that Juhi can be that stupid. Yeh logon ko bhi koi kaam dhanda nahin hai, kya?

Shahrukh's Second Child!
Gauri (Shahrukh's wife) gave birth to a daughter, at Breach Candy hospital on Tuesday (May 23rd) morning. According to doctors at the hospital, she was admitted on Monday night after complaining of pains. Earlier, she accompanied Shahrukh on the sets of One Two Ka Four being produced by Shashilal Nair. Shahrukh seemed quite happy on the occasion and was optimistic that her daughter would make him proud someday. The couple have named her

Juhi confesses that the Dreamz trio make the worst businessmen!

At least, one of the partners has come up with an honest statement. We're talking about Dreamz Unlimited, folks, the Shah Rukh Khan-Juhi Chawla-Aziz Mirza team that heaped a celluloid nightmare called Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani on movie buffs (and themselves) not long ago.

While the Khan is still trying to keep a straight face, claiming their debut production is anything but a flop, Juhi has honestly tried to explore the reasons for the debacle. In an interview to a glossy recently she expounded on the reasons for the bad shape that the film turned out in. The chirpy Chawla has admitted that the Dreamz trio made "the worst businessmen". She has also not refrained from adding, "we have no head for practicalities", all of which is "not good for business".

Some realization that, and better realize late than never. If only Juhi's partners in business would realize as much.

SK shocked with Pepsi-Coke controversy

It seems that bad days are there again for poor Shahrukh. When Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani met it's Waterloo at the box office, critics wrote his dream venture as a nonsense and to add to his woes was the success of Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai. The media then portrayed Hrithik as the new superstar ahead of Shahrukh and Shahrukh seemed to be in trouble.

Shahrukh was banking on JOSH to pull him out of these troubles and the song 'Apun Bola' was climbing up the charts when Shahrukh got a shock of his life. The new Pepsi ad which the media says is a poke at Hrithik. The buzz was that Shahrukh had conceived the ad himself, but it is not true. Helpless Shahrukh, whenever he tries to do something good now, Kuch Kuch wrong Ho Jaata Hai, right ?

And if Josh bombs at box office, Shahrukh's sagging image would be torn to shreds still further

Yash Chopra & Shahrukh Khan

Remember the incident about Shahrukh demanding the international distribution rights of the film Mohabbatein from Yash Chopra and the latter refusing to give in and the cracks which surfaced and eventually were covered up later with Yash Chopra giving in to the superstar's demand.

Come 2000 and Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani met it's Waterloo at the box office and coming of the craze of young Hrithik set the industry ablaze. With Hrithik craze everywhere, SRK wanted an extended plump role in the movie so that he could subdue the Hrithik mania with his Khan power at the box office once again. But Yash Chopra refused under the pretence that the movie was a launch pad for his son Uday. The tension mounted and the soured relationship figured on the sets in London.

Rumour-mongers even say that Mohabbatein will be their last film together and Yash Chopra's next star will be Hrithik who is Uday's best friend.

Now the moral of all this is that if you make enemies on your way up the ladder of success, you are sure to meet them again on your way down to failure. The Lamhe of Mohabbetin between Yash Chopra and Shahrukh has finally come to an end. What a Silsila !

Shahrukh in a supporting role?

As the old saying goes, that's the way the cookie crumbles, babe! Yeah, especially in 'apna' Bollywood where today's superstar may be worth little tomorrow. Hrithik Roshan's new-found fame must have sent jitters down some of Bollywood's reigning stars, especially current number one (or is it past tense already) Shah Rukh Khan. Insiders say the energetic Khan has come up with a move that may put him on top again. He has agreed to play a supporting role to Hrithik Roshan in Subhash Ghai's Yaadein.

The grapevine has it that this decision is a shrewd move on Shah Rukh's part. Either, he will either put in a fantastic performance, which will then overshadow heartthrob Hrithik (remember how Anil Kapoor stole the thunder from 'hero' Akshaye Khanna in Taal?). Or, if the light-eyed young man proves to be tough nut to crack, Shah Rukh will do a lousy job that would make the film flop and send Hrithik spiraling down. Seems like a far-fetched idea to us, but this is a funny business to be in!

Now let's see how Shahrukh's Hindustani Dil dances to Ghai's Taal

Pepsi- Coke Controversy

Controversy arises between Pepsi and Coco Cola. Pepsi tried to get Hrithik for their ad, but looks like Coke got Hrithik to do their ad instead. The Coke ad featuring the new kid in Bollywood - Hrithik Roshan was a major success. But few days later the Pepsi ad featuring Shahrukh Khan created a controversy. The ad had a Hrithik look alike wearing braces...and thus the controversy.

Shahrukh's knee operation

Shahrukh is recovering after his knee operation in Germany. The surgery was conducted in one of the best hospitals. Many thanks to good friend Jai Mehta. Apparently it takes months before one even gets an appointment in the hospital where sportspersons like Andre Agassi and Steffi Graff have got themselves treated earlier. As far as work goes, SK is busy wooing Aishwarya Rai, strictly for the camera, first in London and then in Switzerland for Aditya Chopra's Mohabattein. He's may doing David Dhawan's next film based on the comic flick Blue Streak. After that, he begins work on Shankar's remake of Mudalvan (tamil). Many names are being considered for the heroine's part but Aishwarya may end up being the lucky girl!

Shahrukh's Mohabbatein

Aditya Chopra's Mohabbatein starring, Shahrukh Khan, Amitabh, Aishwarya Rai, Anupum Kher, Uday Chopra, Archana Purun Singh & many more, is almost complete. The movie is set for release Diwali 2000.

Devdas

Ash and Madhuri together in "Devdas" remake - Both Madhuri Dixit and Aishwarya Rai star in a film billed to be a "remake of Devdas." Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the young director who has earlier made "Khamoshi" and "Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam" has effected this casting coup. Bhansali is known for his romantic movies, studded with good songs. His first film, "Khamoshi", did not do well at the box office, but his direction was appreciated. The huge success of his recent film "Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam" has established him as a good director. With this film beauty queen Aishwariya Rai has found a place in top league of Bollywood actresses. Today, she is one of the most sought after heroines in the Hindi film industry. With Both Madhuri and Ash working together, Devdas promises to be a film worth waiting for.
