Juhi upset with Shah Rukh?
Juhi confesses that the Dreamz trio make the worst businessmen! At least, one of the partners has come up with an honest statement. We're talking about Dreamz Unlimited, folks, the Shah Rukh Khan-Juhi Chawla-Aziz Mirza team that heaped a celluloid nightmare called Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani on movie buffs (and themselves) not long ago. SK shocked with Pepsi-Coke controversy It seems that bad days are there again for poor Shahrukh. When Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani met it's Waterloo at the box office, critics wrote his dream venture as a
nonsense and to add to his woes was the success of Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai. The media then portrayed Hrithik as the new superstar ahead of Shahrukh and Shahrukh seemed to be in trouble. Yash Chopra & Shahrukh Khan Remember the incident about Shahrukh demanding the international distribution rights of the film Mohabbatein from Yash Chopra and the latter refusing to give in and the cracks which surfaced and eventually were covered up later with Yash Chopra giving in to the superstar's demand. Shahrukh in a supporting role? As the old saying goes, that's the way the cookie crumbles, babe! Yeah, especially in 'apna' Bollywood where today's superstar may be worth little tomorrow. Hrithik Roshan's new-found fame must have sent jitters down some of Bollywood's reigning stars, especially current number one (or is it past tense already) Shah Rukh Khan. Insiders say the energetic Khan has come up with a move that may put him on top again. He has agreed to play a supporting role to Hrithik Roshan in Subhash Ghai's Yaadein. Pepsi- Coke Controversy Controversy arises between Pepsi and Coco Cola. Pepsi tried to get Hrithik for their ad, but looks like Coke got Hrithik to do their ad instead. The Coke ad featuring the new kid in Bollywood - Hrithik Roshan was a major success. But few days later the Pepsi ad featuring Shahrukh Khan created a controversy. The ad had a Hrithik look alike wearing braces...and thus the controversy. Shahrukh's knee operation Shahrukh is recovering after his knee operation in Germany. The surgery was conducted in one of the best hospitals. Many thanks to good friend Jai Mehta. Apparently it takes months before one even gets an appointment in the
hospital where sportspersons like Andre Agassi and Steffi Graff have got themselves treated earlier. As far as work goes,
SK is busy wooing Aishwarya Rai, strictly for the camera, first in London and then in Switzerland for Aditya Chopra's Mohabattein. He's
may doing David Dhawan's next film based on the comic flick Blue Streak. After that, he begins work on Shankar's remake of
Mudalvan (tamil). Many names are being considered for the heroine's part but Aishwarya may end up being the lucky
girl!
Aditya Chopra's Mohabbatein starring, Shahrukh Khan, Amitabh, Aishwarya Rai, Anupum Kher, Uday Chopra,
Archana Purun Singh & many more,
is almost complete. The movie is set for release Diwali 2000. Ash and Madhuri together in "Devdas" remake - Both Madhuri Dixit and Aishwarya Rai star in a film billed to be a "remake of Devdas." Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the young director who has earlier made "Khamoshi" and "Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam" has effected this casting coup. Bhansali is known for his romantic movies, studded with good songs. His first film, "Khamoshi", did not do well at the box office, but his direction was appreciated. The huge success of his recent film "Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam" has established him as a good director. With this film beauty queen Aishwariya Rai has found a place in top league of Bollywood actresses. Today, she is one of the most sought after heroines in the Hindi film industry. With Both Madhuri and Ash working together, Devdas promises to be a film worth waiting for.
